Rob Armstrong  and his team of Scouts from the Officer Scout group GWS Anderson Scouts independently handled traffic and parking at the Holland Festival.  About 20 scouts and scout leaders signed up and worked all day including bump in and bump out… Rob assisted with the planning and council permits for traffic & parking and the scouts made all their own plans within those guidelines. Rob and his team handled all required signage and all parking and traffic issues, and as a fundraiser for the Scouts, requested a gold coin donation from the public for their efforts, and in this way raised nearly $2000 for their Scout Group. Rob attended many HF meetings and he and his team were a pleasure to work with.

The HF is very pleased to be able to have helped the scouts with their fundraising. Scouting encourages children to lead from as young as five years old. Members are allowed to make mistakes as they challenge themselves and work out how to be successful in adventures and in life. The older they become, the more responsibility they take for themselves and others. The GWS Anderson Scouts home is in Dickie road, Officer and are an important part of the Casey/Cardinia community.
